Employer brand
Attracting the best people is becoming a much greater challenge as people have increasingly high expectations of their future employer. Jobseekers are tending to choose employers who not only care for their people but are willing to invest in personal growth and life skills. People also want to work for ‘Well Organisations’ who have a track record in corporate social responsibility and environmental issues.
Employers who create an attractive employer brand will gain significant financial advantages as they are more likely to attract top talent and it will take less time to fill a vacancy. When these factors are properly assessed by an employer the benefits are substantial. Of course employers must deliver on the promise; if the reality of employment is significantly different from the promise then the person will quickly become unhappy and is likely to leave.
