Insurers funding school wellness programme.
WellKom has formed an innovative partnership with Towergate Insurance to offer schools the means of managing the costs of absence and the potential for subsidised investment in a leading Personal Wellness Management Service aimed at proactively reducing absence.
The Personal Wellness Management Service is based on the Personal Wellness Zone and Personal Wellness Profile – the latter is the basis for The Wellness Index which was selected by Investors in People as the preferred way of measuring the wellness of people in all types of employers. In addition, schools will have the opportunity to collaborate and take part in a Wellness Skills Transfer Programme to develop their own range of wellness resources to make the Wellness Service sustainable in the future. This programme has already been used by Kent County Council Schools to start to build an ongoing capability for over six hundred schools.
To begin this process, the first step is to have a meeting with all the stakeholders involved in making decisions. This is usually Education services; Risk Management; Finance and HR.
