WellKom and PPMA develop wellness services together
WellKom and PPMA (the Public Sector People Managers' Association) have created a joint submission to development wellness services. Carol Mills, HR Director of Lancashire County Council and national lead for Well-being for the PPMA and WellKom's Managing Director, Anthony Phillips, discussed this submission with Professor Dame Carol Black who is conducting a national enquiry into health and well-being in the UK. The role of local authorities is vital in managing personal wellness. The challenge lies in balancing employer and employee accountabilities.
The submission seeks to develop wellness as integral part of organisational management and change management, including the creation of qualifications in this field.
